Data: It is a collection of facts and figures which has to be processed by some processing system,(whether a human being or a machine) to be understandable. Data are all the basic elements that can be produced or processed by a computer.
Data Processing: Data processing refers to the transformation raw data into meaningful output. There are three types data processing method:

Information: It is the processed form of data, which makes some sense and helps in reaching a conclusion. Information is data that has been converted into a more useful or intelligible form. It is obtain after processing and provide via output device. Examples are: Time Table, Merit List, Report card, phone book etc.
